• “OLD BRIDGE — Directly across Pension Road from Gate 2 to Raceway Park, members of an Indian spiritual movement hope to build a tree-lined sanctuary where members can live in homes and pray in a meditation center twice a day. The religious center would not generate noise, members have said. Its neighbor across the street is a different story. Concerts, motocross, drag racing and weeks-long emergency vehicle training sessions with sirens blaring are among the events conducted at Raceway Park in the township. Every person who built homes and then moved within earshot of the track since it opened in 1965 has complained about the noise, said Michael Napp, president of Raceway Park.”
