Extra Thickness for Extra Performance Perfect Noise Control for Rehab Construction

Quiet Qurl® 075 is a noise control insulation mat designed to limit impact noise between floors. This resilient mat absorbs noise when sandwiched in a mass-spring-mass building design. The mat is designed for retrofit of existing buildings where a ceiling assembly is not utilized. In critical areas of new construction, 075 will add approximately 35 extra IIC points. 

 

Applications

  • Retrofit applications of old buildings – especially historical tax credit apartments and future condominiums
  • Loft conversions
  • When a resilient ceiling is installed
  • With hard surfaces: concrete, stone, tile, vinyl and hardwood finished surfaces
  • With topping layers, such as gypsum concretes, lightweight concrete, mortar beds and plywood
  • When a ceiling construction is not an option
