Only 2 hours away from Keene Building Products headquarters, a project is beginning to take shape in Maumee, OH.

At the Therma-Tru Doors Headquarters, contractors wanted to install an effective rainscreen system with a composite cladding for an incredible, modern finish.

When Therma-Tru was planning their expansion to their doors headquarters, the goal for their building to LAST. Choosing a credible exterior is crucial with this project; it was a composite siding. Since moisture intrusion is the #1 litigated aspect in construction, the best way to manage it is by adding a rainscreen, which is essential. We may be biased, but we think the contractors couldn’t have chosen a better combination for this cladding project.  

 

The Keene product that was on this project was our Driwall^TM Rainscreen UV 040, which has strength bars to increase compression resistance and is ideal for open joint claddings. The UV stable fabric is black to contrast the emptiness, and the structured strand design deters insects and rodents from resting. 

 

With this implementation of our Driwall^TM Rainsreen UV, the building will have weather protection and moisture management for its building envelope. 

The contractor chose to use our Driwall^TM Rainscreen UV because “It is easy to install, perfect for open joint cladding projects that require a 3/8” space for little compression, and the products are durable and rigid. I recommended Driwall Rainscreen UV for the project since it is faster to install, which means fewer labor costs and pricing is competitive.”
